RecommenderX was founded in 2016 with the goal of addressing a recurrent business problem that we noticed in the market. Companies have large quantities of data and they want their businesses to be data-driven; however, the data is siloed, difficult to obtain, and requires significant manual repetitive effort to cleanse and integrate. And all of this before the data is analyzed, visualized and mined for insights. Fundamentally, being data-driven is hard and we want to make it easier.
We are delighted to have brought our Advise platform to the market. We are working hard in a number of different sectors, blending our experience in machine learning, predictive analytics, data visualization, recommendation and information retrieval to deliver the great solutions for our customers.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Kevin holds a PhD from University College Dublin, and has over 10 years of industrial-focused research experience. He has produced more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and holds several patents. Kevin has been working on the commercialisation of AI-based technologies with global partners for over seven years and has created, designed and overseen the development and deployment of a range of enterprise digital platforms.
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Mick holds a Phd from the University of Innsbruck and a Masters from NUIG. Over the last 20 years he has moved from artificial intelligence and information retrieval, through Semantic Web technologies, and on to machine learning and Big Data Analytics. Mick has extensive experience in commercialising AI and related technologies, he was previously the Principal Data Scientist at both Amdocs and INM (Independent News and Media).
Business Development & Strategy
John has extensive experience in growing businesses. He brings fresh views, a creative approach and no nonsense language to creating and developing real and practical business opportunities. John has been involved in three start-ups – one based in the UK and two based in Ireland. He is the National Manager of Halo Business Angels Network and a team member of DublinBICs’ AIB Seed Capital Fund.
